It's my life

Was born in New York City - where else? My folks were brilliant artists, and I didn't want to be anything like them, of course. Then I spent a lot of my time in the East Village, naturally. And an artist is what I became. Had a few exhibits and shows in the big city, traveled with others. It's been a pretty nomadic life with good music, great friends, not one to settle down in one place or with one person. Spent some time backpacking in Europe and even did rural Kansas for a while, just because. Life is an adventure, and I'm not one to take it for granted.

I wanted to be a rebel. Something about the idea appealed to me - rejecting the life into which I was born so I could create a life of my own. But the funny thing is - my parents didn't give me much cause to reject them. They were uncommonly supportive of me, imparted values that, in spite of myself, I valued. An appreciation for art, beauty, independence. So when the day came for me to begin to spread my wings, I didn't fly far...
